PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE

The headline for this month’s message is “Space selection for PROCESS EXPO 2007 in Las Vegas will be starting in mid-June”.  It’s the nature of this business that even as we are putting the finishing touches on the 2006 PROCESS EXPO, we are well into the planning and the forthcoming initiation of sales for 2007.  We want to take this opportunity to share some thoughts on the 2007 event and the process for the first round, the MEMBERS ONLY ROUND, of the selection process.

FPSA members for whom this will be their first Las Vegas trade show experience, let us say “you are in for a treat”.  Prepare for three, action-packed days (okay the afternoon of the third day begins to slow down). We are again co-located with PACK EXPO, which will be exhibiting in both our hall as well as another adjacent hall.  And, PROCESS EXPO is totally contained on one floor with three entrances.

As you are aware, Las Vegas is a great attraction for your customers.  In an era where most trade shows are either losing ground or struggling to maintain their status quo,

PROCESS EXPO has grown each show year since we started our co-location with PACK EXPO in 1997.  (Total Attendance: 33,154, Total Buyers: 21,907)

We anticipate that 2007 will continue this phenomenal growth trend.  You’ll soon receive a prospectus with all the information you will need to make your decision of where you want to be and how large you need to be in the 2007 PROCES EXPO. So, let’s say a few words about the selection process: You will be selecting your booth in real time via phone while viewing the floor plan on-line.

Companies will be selecting in the order of their priority points (i.e. companies with the highest point level will select first, etc.)

You will be contacted by e-mail and fax, giving you the date and time for your selection appointment.  If that time is not convenient, we will arrange an alternative time and/or date.

FPSA staff will call and work with you to select the most appropriate and best space available using our on-line floor plan.

NOTE: As we mentioned above, this is a MEMBERS ONLY ROUND.  Therefore only active members, those whose dues are fully paid, will be permitted to select space for 2007.  If a member chooses not to select space in this MEMBERS ONLY ROUND, they will become eligible to select space after everyone in the priority points list has had their opportunity.  In other words, if you have valuable priority points, use them now, when they will do you most good.
