About FPSA
FPSA is a trade association serving suppliers to the global food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The Association's programs and services assist its members to be more successful in marketing their products and services, and in improving their business practices. Programs and services to achieve these objectives include: PROCESS EXPO, electronic media marketing, education, research, and being an advocate on issues such as food safety, sanitary design of equipment, and global trade.
FPSA members are organized in vertical industry councils which focus Association programs on specific concerns and needs that are unique to that industry sector. Membership in FPSA permits companies to participate in as many industry councils as appropriate at no additional cost. FPSA is power in numbers when needed, and precision in focus when required.
FPSA.org is the electronic global resource which links prospective buyers searching for products and services with members who can fulfill their needs. With the face-to-face marketing power of PROCESS EXPO and the 24/7 access to fpsa.org, we offer the buyer the best possible experience at the lowest possible cost to our members.

MARKET INTELLIGENCE
Industry Councils Members from the same vertical industry segment make up the FPSA Industry Councils. Each council has its own board of directors and the opportunity to recommend programs and services specific to their industry sector and to influence the major programs of FPSA. Councils play a major role in shaping PROCESS EXPO, the program content of the FPSA Annual Conference, research activities, and international programs. FPSA currently has councils representing Bakery, Confectionary, Dairy, Fruits and Vegetable, Meat, and Pharmaceutical Industries.
FPSA State of the Industry and Forward Look Study FPSA has commissioned Mintel, a global supplier of consumer, media and market research, to provide our members with ongoing insight into the state of the flavor and ingredient industry. The 2006 FPSA State of the Industry and Forward Look study features sector-specific insights, data and expert understanding of what's next in the flavor and ingredient industry. Mintel's powerful interface provides FPSA members with the ability to download tables to Excel, create powerful graphs adn conduct searches within the report.
Annual Purchase Intent Study This "voice of the customer" study reports on processors' buying intentions for equipment, supplies and ingredients. This information is crucial in producing market driven objectives and strategies for suppliers. The type of information provided includes: Who makes up the purchasing team? How much are they planning on spending this year? How important is the Internet in purchasing processes? What is the most important value adding strategy for ingredient suppliers? What is the greatest opportunity for new product development? What are the most promising new techniques? In addition, this information is broken down by industry segment, allowing members to focus on the specific sectors to which they sell.
Annual Compensation Survey Members can keep up-to-date on how they compare to similar companies in our industry in employee compensation. The survey includes compensation information on sales, service, engineering and production positions, as well as general policies. It is a valuable benchmarking tool for management teams at FPSA member companies.
InstaPoll Surveys These on demand, quickie surveys provide FPSA members the opportunity to get just-in-time, non-scientific survey results on topics they choose, ranging broadly from process technologies to human resources.
Member Resources on www.fpsa.org The FPSA web site provides members with easy access to numerous resources, including information that can help them succeed in business. Among the resources offered are: supplier search, member press releases, job postings/resumes, , association newsletter, PROCESS EXPO - online floor plan and registration.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING
Annual Conference FPSA's Annual Conference is where suppliers to the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industry connect, network and reinvigorate. Attendees can connect with their customers through councils in the meat, dairy, fruits and vegetables, confectionery, pharmaceutical and bakery industry segments. Ample opportunity is given to network with industry peers as participants expand their industry knowledge through educational business sessions and research roundtables. Attendees also reinvigorate themselves while enjoying social events, sports and optional activities.
FOOD SAFETY
The Food Processing Suppliers Association supports food safety in manufacturing through participation as a founding member of 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc., a non-profit organization representing equipment manufacturers, processors, regulatory sanitarians and other public health professionals. Suppliers have a voice in the development of 3-A standards through FPSA. Currently there are nearly 150 individual FPSA members serving on the thirteen Working Groups, the backbone of the consensus document process. Through 3-A committee involvement, FPSA members continue to collaborate with other key stakeholders on the implementation of the new third party verification (TPV) program and corresponding inspection of their equipment by Certified Conformance Evaluators, which was launched in late 2003.
